Nigerian Football Legend Kanu Nwankwo Set To Bury His Mother Today

Nigeria Football Legend Kanu Nwankwo, is set to bury his mother, Mrs Sussan Nwannediya Iheme Kanu, who died at the age of 82, at her home town, Amannagwu, Arochukwu, Abia
State.

In an interview with Completesportsnigeria.com in his Arochukwu home, the former Arsenal player who called his late mother the ‘lucky one’ revealed she was his everything..

He said:
“Not easy at all. It has been very difficult I must say, losing someone that made me whom I am today, God first,” the former Super Eagles and Arsenal of London striker started in a pensive tone.

“She was the one that gave me everything. Whoever that Papilo is today, is from what she taught me.

“She was my strong bone, she was my mother and my everything. Every morning, she came to me, called me ‘God’s First’.

“She said I was a lucky one. When I asked her why she always called me ‘Lucky One’, she said whenever she saw me in the morning and went to the market, everything would go well. I’ve really lost someone without a replacement.

“Its going to be difficult without her. But life goes on. She had run her race, a good and successful race I will say.

“We will have to continue from where she stopped.
