Nigerian Army Arrest Fake Officer in Ondo State

The assistant director, Army Public Relations, Capt. Ojo Adenegan, said the suspect would be charged to court after the investigation.




Mike Ajulo, has been arrested by the Nigerian army for parading himself as an Army officer in Ondo state.


The Nigerian Army has arrested an impostor, identified as Mike Ajulo, parading himself as an Army officer in Ose local government of Ondo state, NAN reports. The assistant director, Army Public Relations, 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Capt. Ojo Adenegan, stated this in a statement in Akure on Saturday, October 29.

Adenegan said: “A fake Army officer, Mike Ajulo, from Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State who has been impersonating as an Army Officer was arrested on Friday. “His arrest was as a result of reported cases of Land Issuesand other criminal activities against him and confession to some of the crimes reported against him.

“The Brigade is using this medium to inform the general public that Mike Ajulo is not an Army Officer and was neverin any Military Service. ”He said the suspect was still under investigation and would be charged to court after the investigation. 

Meanwhile,the Nigerian government has made a move against some security personnelthat were involved in the prolific activities of Boko Haram terrorists in the North East.The security operatives were arrested for helping the terrorists group sell rustled cattle, Premium Times reports. 

Among those arrested are four serving soldiers, two police officers and some members of the civilian Joint Task Force.
